Allen, TX Office

Raise of hands, who has the upstairs Juliet balcony that does nothing but give kids the feeling to call down for food?  Well these empty nesters were ready for an update on what use to be the kids space.  My client needed the upstairs "game room" to be transformed into her office space.  We also updated the bedroom and media room.

One of the first things I do at a consolation is ask what the client's hobbies are and vision is for the space.  We originally started with a reading room that ended up also needing to include an office space.  We ripped up the carpet and put in wood floors as well as taking out the Juliet balcony.  By removing the balcony we were able to insulate sound and give more useable space.  I loved the herringbone wood pattern on the hallway from the stairs to the office.  The space was also repainted as were the ceiling beams.  We added drapery panels and a seating area for her reading space.  This space was so cozy and soothing.  Too bad it couldn't hold a wine fridge!

The bedroom needed an update as well.  We kept the old bed frame but ordered new end tables, lamps, art and added a bench and drapery panels.  We updated the carpet and added a fun woven wallpaper accent wall.

Finally we did a material update in the media room.  We kept the furniture but repainted the walls, added new carpet and updated the sconces.  It was an amazing transformation.
